Today is a memorable day. I just started my
blog in English. I have never tried writing blogs before even in Japanese. I am
not sure if it will go well but I believe that continuation is the most certain
way to get to high level places. In this blog, I am going to describe some
medical events, such as outpatients, anatomies, diseases, and therapies. Today,
I'm going to tell you about headaches. I found an interesting topic on the
Internet. The topic's title is "Types of headaches that signal a dangerous
problem".
The types of headaches are as follows: 1.
Worst headache of your life
, 2. Severe headache of sudden onset
, 3. Headaches
that are worse in the morning, 4. Severe headache with stiff neck and
fever
If you have any of these kind of headaches, you should go to a hospital
immediately.
"Worst headache in one's life"
are the keywords of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. This type of headache almost
always occurs suddenly. So, 'sudden onset' are also the keywords of the
disease.
"Headaches that are worse in the
morning" are an important sign of increased intracranial pressure. It
means that huge masses, such as a brain tumor, may be in your brain. If you
also have nausea and vomiting, you should have a CT or MRI examination.
If you have a severe headache with a stiff
neck and a high fever, you may be diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. A
cerebrospinal fluid examination is essential for the dianogsis.
